MIND Your OWN Business.
Yesterday, I caught someone lying to me.
This is a person I trusted.
At first I experienced shock.
Then, I applied this three-step tool I created which I will share with you, which instantly released me from the potential self-imposed emotional suffering that a person goes through when you have an appearance in your life of someone doing something that doesn’t feel good.
Typically, during an upset, a person would start playing victim, and ask the question “Why did s/he do this to me?”
But this takes you down the endless rabbit hole of “Why’s” which never ends and you get stuck deep down in it.
And, that’s after you’ve tied yourself into a pretzel of angst. Together, this dynamic can fester into lack of forgiveness that replays and is acted out, over and over again, and then attracts more of the same negative situation.
Yet, what another person does is their path, how I respond is my path. With that in mind, I created the “Mind Your Own Business Tool.”
The first step of this tool is to realize that what you see is a reflection of what is inside of you in that moment, some belief (thought) about yourself and/or about how you believe (think) others perceive you that is being reflected back at you, like a mirror.
The opportunity in this for you is to not react, but respond with self-love towards yourself, and ask yourself “What is this situation telling me, teaching me about myself?”
For me, since I judged the situation as negative I had to look at what negative belief (thought) I held up until that point in time that I could bust through so that I didn’t have this repeated ever again in my universe.
I discovered, that I needed to bust-through some remnants of lack of trust, which was being reflected back at me.
The second step of this tool is to use a breathing technique: breathe deeply in whilst saying “I Breathe In The Present” breathe deeply out whilst saying “I Breathe Out The Past”. Do this as many times as needed to center yourself and feel calm and inner-peace.
After that, I used the third step of this tool I created: You say to yourself “It’s NONE of my business.” The humor in this powerful phrase which will reframe a situation which you had previously judged as negative, so that you now judge it in a positive light, you now see something was created as an appearance in your life (think of it as a mini skit in the Epic movie of your life) as being done “For You, not To You.”
As soon as I used this final step I started to laugh, and laugh hard. And I felt tremendous relief, my body (I call my body a “Temple”) felt lighter, I felt my natural state of Joy, Freedom, and Divine Love.
My “Mind Your Own Business Tool” can do the same for you, it allows us to move forward in our beautiful life, not go backwards. It keeps you firmly grounded in your glorious life, not guessing, blaming or wondering about someone else’s life.
After all, You are the Center of Your OWN Universe.
Then, after using my tool, you have taken extreme self-care and also managed your emotions enough that you can speak to the person neutrally so you can have a mindful dialogue.
Later that day during an afternoon walk, Synchronicity led me to walk by a garden where from a distance I saw there was a tiny signpost with a quotation written on it, the sign drew me towards it because of an aura of Divine white light around it (so I knew I had to read it since this is one of the myriad ways Universe, God/Goddess, Source, speaks to me and has done so since I was very young). This is what the sign read:
“It’s Not What You Look At, It’s What You See.”
