Why Are You Impatient?
The irony of having patience is that when you do have it, what you were wanting has the ability to come to you faster.
Seemingly deep-down we know this, yet all too often you can find yourself feeling impatient.
If patience eludes you and impatience has you feeling stuck and the movement of your life seems at a standstill it is a big clue that you are not trusting the Universe.
If you did trust the Universe that the process is perfect and that what happens, happens for you and not to you then you would have patience, you wouldn’t feel impatient nor worry about anything since you are trusting the Universe to provide what’s best for you and in Divine Timing.
Patience is not about waiting—because when you trust that what is best for you and your highest good is coming to you in Divine Timing, then you aren’t just ‘waiting’—instead, you are 'actively waiting'—living your beautiful life in all its glory as the beautifully authentic you!
So how do you transform impatience into patience?
Here are my four favorite ways:
1) Contentment is yours when you no longer resist the moment. For example, if you have a job that is far from your dream career, while you are taking the steps to land your dream career, have fun with your current employment, and have calm acceptance while you take new inspired actions, that the arrival of what you want might be in a different order and even a different form than what you had originally envisioned, yet the outcome will be even better for you.
2) Be receptive to the gifts of the Universe and open to the “new” entering your life. Allow what you have grown out of, that’s outdated for you to leave your life. Be gentle with yourself as you make this higher vibrational shift in your life.
Stay centered in non-judgement and unconditional love. Everything comes to you in Divine Timing which is Perfect Timing!
Embrace the unknown and uncertainty and release your need to control which is yet another clue that you are not trusting the Universe.
Patience is also about letting go and releasing your need to have control with the understanding that all you can control is your perception, interpretation, and your response.
Inner-peace is yours when you don’t let events or other people control your emotions, what happens or doesn’t happen can’t dictate your happiness or you’ll never feel happy. Happiness and contentment come from within you.
3) Have compassion for others by seeing and hearing them with your loving heart. Maybe you never heard back from someone…you never know what is going on in another person’s life, forgive. There is a gift in everything. Whatever that situation was that you thought you wanted if the door is closed to you there is a wonderful reason— and that is that it wasn’t best for you—it wasn’t in your highest good.
The Universe works in mysterious ways, sometimes a door closes because there is something you aren’t privy to.
Think of a tree in the season of winter, on the outside the tree has lost its leaves and looks dead so-to-speak, yet beneath the soil the roots are alive and vibrant, thing are not always what they seem, much is going on behind-the-scenes in harmony and balance and it is all for you!
4) Gratitude is great for you! Swap your expectations for appreciation and gratitude. Heaven on Earth comes from within you and you can experience this in your everyday life. A feeling of connection through gratitude, appreciation and mindfulness raises your vibration rate, expands your consciousness and shifts you into the present moment.
Patience comes when you surrender, have acceptance and trust the Universe.
